Both a tale of FAIL and WIN... I'm selling old t-shirts on eBay with quite a bit of success and I'd recently installed their phone app due to high levels of signal FAIL in work. Thing is, item sales on the app have a notification sound that's supposed to sound like a till ringing... except it sounds more like a knife being sharpened in a horror film. I freaked out when I was half asleep last night and it sounded.

I've been trying to write a Robinson Crusoe joke about today, but they all came out a little off colour.

Has anyone here actually washed their computer keyboard/s in the dishwasher? Would you recommend it?

Yes, or rather a friend of mine does. But only on a decent quality keyboard - he washed his old Fujitsu keyboard for about 10 years (once a year). Modern membrane keyboards don't survive as well - I would also be wary of wireless keyboards. Edit: ISTR that he just used water, no detergent, that corrodes the contacts.

Chris Martin: the rock god who thrives in the face of critical sneers | Observer profile | Music | The Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/d ... th-paltrowTechnically they're rock musicians alright, but I doubt Martin is anyone's idea of a rock god. And I hate this suggestion that people hate them because they're 'posh' - no, people hate them cos a lot of the songs make you wanna rip your own ears off! There's a few of the songs I like, but most of it's chanty nonsense.

Is it possible to save a list someone else has created to your own IMDB account for quick reference?

New German word of the year is the verb "merkeln", to merkel - it means to prevaricate and not come to a decision.
The new youth word of the year is "smombie" an abbreviation of Smartphone Zombie, someone who wanders around oblivious to their environment whilst staring at their smartphone.
