Happy belated birthday. CMOT Weasel has his birthday today. I haven't heard from him in ages.

We just had a 2 minute silence at work. I'm sure we didn't do this last year. In fact, looking back, I was still seeing a patient at the time.

Here too. Incidentally I was in a meeting with a German lady today during the 2 minutes of silence.

A lesser-spotted leeds_manc grammar query: Have you always wore glasses? Have you always worn glasses? Which one is correct? I should be able to work this out, I think I'm tired.

Latter I'd say. You're asking a question in the past tense so it should be 'worn'.
Have you always worn glasses? Do you you always wear glasses?
The only time I think 'wore' works is when you're asking in the negative about the past 'I thought you never wore glasses?' Any other time, it doesn't sound right.

The funeral of a good friend is being held next Wednesday, I've known him and worked with him for the past nearly 4 years, he took his own life last Tuesday with no indication that there was anything wrong, his fiance and family are devastated but it doesn't feel real.

Whether to but a Ruroc helmet that comes with goggle (as the helmet is excellent), or to buy the Dragon NXF goggles I really like and buy a different helmet to go with it. The total cost would be similar regardless.
I need something for the slopes at any rate.
