The 2l Renault Megane Scenic I've been using as a loan while the Camaro is having some work done is worse on fuel around town than the Camaro.

The camaro's probably fairly consistent I guess, whereas modern cars are more suited to the highway. My car gets around 15 in short distance driving, but I've had 30 out of it on a run.

Took home a microphone to try out Dragon Naturally Speaking. Laptop won't turn on. Or realistically tries to but fails.

Me.
There's a particular singer I'm a fan of. She's Swedish. I ordered her new CD, From Sweden. The postage & packing pretty much cost as much as the CD. All her previous recordings have been in English. This one is entirely in Swedish, a language I can just about manage to ask for directions in.
I didn't bother checking before I ordered it...
It sounds fine but I've got no idea what she's on about.

I don't believe any of my Scottish friends would have a clue about Swedish, any more so than my English friends. Had you been Swedish, you would understand it a bit better.

Ah, by Scottish you mean Gaelic? When you think the Hebrides closest city is Tromso, it's not so surprising to find a lot of the northern tongues mixed up in it.

Ah right. Doric's a dialect of a small bit of NE Scotland. I still doubt if any of my Scottish friends could properly understand it.
