I hit the beach last Sunday for a bbq with 10 mates. Will be doing the same this Sunday. Have a birthday do on D-Day and may be in London the following week, although I'm not sure. So for me 20th is probably earliest, but I'll keep an eye on the thread and my schedule.
As for a place to stay, I'll see if I can't do some research on that front......

It sorta depends on when you had in mind. Eastbourne meets all of these requirements, but not sure you'd want to come that far south (I'm in the midlands myself currently and miss the sea air  ) _________________

Thats brilliant Small world eh. Went to Camber last weekend for a BBQ, but as soon as we arrived it clouded over, so didn't bother in the end.

In my teen years you used to be able to camp on the beach so we'd quite often dig ourselves sleeping troughs in the sand up by the dunes and line them with sleeping bags before lighting a fire and then playing stupid games in which someone invariably ended up having to jump in the water.... I was trying to be considerate  I figured after no weekends off in almost a month leading up to your bathday you'd probably like to have one at home with nothing much planned.
