Butter and Marmite. Put the Marmite on first, mind. Then let it go cold. Yumsville!!

Ah, the student's pizza :).

Put me down for marmalade. As for nutella, it's wasted on toast. Heat some in the microwave for about 20 seconds until it goes a bit runny then pour it over good vanilla ice cream. Your mouth will love you forever.

And, in honour of the thread - clicky (Bish, this was before your time :) )

My toast consumption is dependent on a few things like time of day, mood etc but most especially time available for preparation...

Morning toast has to be piping hot, buttered, buttered with jam, buttered with marmalade, buttered with honey or buttered with marmite. Cold toast for taking to work has to be butter only - after cooling in the fridge of course...

Snack toast - Nutella or peanut butter but in each case at least one spoonful doesn't reach the toast :o

Supper (or teatime) toast - cheese (and Worcestershire sauce) or butter and... scrambled egg/poached egg/fried egg (copious quantities so as not to be healthy).

Weekend pig-out toast... 3 slices (buttered) with... bacon, poached or fried egg, Marmite and Nutella :D :D

And they say wine tasting is an art...

Butter/Marg/Spread shouldnt be the same option. I would go for butter 100% for this vote but margarine and spreads can grab a spoon and eat my ass. They dont compare.

I've just started to have cravings for lightly toasted bread, plenty of butter, and a dollop of duck liver pate spread over it with a cup of tea...
