Some people enjoy using their skills to help other people, and getting paid to do so is merely a bonus. Sent from my big ass Sony Xperia Z Ultra tabphonelet, using Tapatalk 4.

It was twatmagedon with trucks this morning. There are roadworks on the main dual carriageway out of Peterborough to the A1 so couple of lorries, in an attempt to gain a few feet, were doing up and overs on the fly-off roundabouts to try and skip a bit of the queue. They were then finding themselves in the wrong lane and pushing in. My brother was driving and quite how he managed to not have his bladder explode they were boiling his p!ss so much is beyond me. Then for a bit of extra fun there had been an accident at the main A1/A14 interchange roundabout so instead of being able to do the usual swift U-turn back onto the northbound A1 for work we had to go for a magical mystery tour down the A14 westbound and double back. And this is before they start doing epic roadworks to upgrade the A14.

Meant to be working from home today. Did about half an hour at 07:00 then took the youngest to school, (the reason I was working from home today). No sooner do I get home then I have the eldest on the phone asking for a lift to the hospital. She doesn't seem to understand the concept of buses and taxis. AAARRRGGGHHH. Right! Kettle on, firing laptop up and let's get some sh1t done!

Got a demo tomorrow and there is a big job that needs doing beforehand. When did I find out? 20 mins ago. And the software I need to use to extract the data has been incorrectly installed

This was on a client machine. They had IE8. An "Internet Explorer blocked this website from displaying... <some cobblers or other>" kept appearing. No problem, thinks me. Upgrade to IE11. Big mistake. Starting IE causes it to crash instantly. A system restore back to when I installed IE11 was the only way to uninstall it, but strangely it also seems to have resolved the original issue. It's like the most boring episode of "House M.D" ever .
