I don't mind Notes. It's like an old friend now. We ditched it a few years ago.

I've been lucky, I've only had one Lotus Notes project. My employers have either used plain IMAP servers or they had Exchange/Outlook.
All I can remember about Notes/Domino was that it made a snail look lie Usain Bolt!

Aaaaargh!
Person: "I've just emailed you." Me: "Yes?" Person: "I'm just wondering what you think" Me: "I haven't received it yet" Person: "Oh okay. Well what it said was -" Me: "Why don't you just wait until I read it and reply?" Person: "Well it's urgent" Me: "So why did you bother typing it out if it's so very urgent? You're 20 feet away"

I'd laugh as well but these retardo-disruptions are happening every 20 minutes

I miss Notes. From a PA perspective it's head and shoulders above Outlook.

That's it - I've f***ing well had enough. As of tonight, I shall be looking for another job. Project Manager: Why aren't you working on <really important customer project>? Me: Nobody's told me I'm supposed to bePM: But <colleague> says he's waiting for you to do item 3 - the SQL for the data transfer Me: Well he hasn't told me anything. I don't even know where the tables are, let alone what I'm supposed to be doing. And until somebody tells me, I'm doing nothingPM: S**t! Several minutes later... Colleague: So, Jim, we're on point 3 Me: Are we?Colleague: Yes... Okay. So where is everything?Colleague: What do you mean? Me: If I'm supposed to transfer data between two sets of tables, I at least need to know where both sets of tables are...Colleague: But you know where you put them Me: I haven't put anything anywhere - you did that last night. Point 1 is set up a test system: where is that Test system? Edit: He's just sent an email about what I'm supposed to do. Item 3 is His entire email is a link to <Dataset 2>.

Good idea. Do it before you have a stroke from all the stress.

Update:
<Colleague> has spent all day pointing at the wrong dataset...
... because he thought it was a good idea to bodge a local instance instead of using the server instance that I had to set up for him.

Some people enjoy using their skills to help other people, and getting paid to do so is merely a bonus. Sent from my big ass Sony Xperia Z Ultra tabphonelet, using Tapatalk 4.
