My girlfriend and I have just bought a house together and we are remodelling it at the moment! I'm living in it, she and the girls are still in their flat, until the end of next month... We've go until then to make it suitable for habitation! Seems I don't count!! Slowly starting to look good. You can see the work that has been put into it: http://gallery.me.com/wright.is#100101& ... &view=grid

Look what was in my inbox: | | | | Quote: Write me soon Dear Sir/Madam, This communication is in reference to an investment opportunity involving an Iraqi that made a fixed deposit at my Bank. He had a financial portfolio of $31,500,000.00 and this I help turned over in the purchase of securities in the capital markets. I was the bank adviser assisting the customer in the management of the fund. Been previously given the instruction to liquidate the investment made by this customer after sometime to enable the customer pursue some other investment requiring cash payment in Europe, I made effort to contact the customer in the line of duty for some final instruction only to discover that the customer had been killed along other members of his family. Since the original owner died along with the supposed next of kin, my proposition is this; I am prepared to place you in a position to instruct my Bank to release the deposit to you as the closest surviving relation. For your cooperation I am prepare to share the deposit with you. If you find yourself able to work with me, contact me through this email account: kkeung1ccheng@yahoo.com.hk If you give me positive signals, I will initiate this process towards conclusion. Them were the days! We need an admin to ban somewhere here to shake things up again when we're least expecting it.

We started work on the 2nd January. We've got to oil the cork in one child bedroom and in the other, plaster/fill where we have put in plaster board over the old "kitchen" area, wallpaper, lay cork, refit the electric plugs. The kitchen should be finished tomorrow - another couple of backing plates to cover up the edges and put silicone sealant in the gap between the worktop and the back wall. The front door and the window for the guest toilet still need to be replaced - waiting on a date, that should happen in the next 2 weeks, I hope. The new window sill in the lounge should come in tomorrow - the window installers cracked the old one. It is a 4M long piece of marble, so it took a week or two to get a replacement. Their insurance should pay for that. Then, hopefully, we are done for a little while, then we need to remodel the upstairs bathroom, as the bath is under the eaves and we can't take a shower - which leaves the second bathroom in the cellar, which will never dry out with 4 people showering in there at least once a day!

Don't just shorten your URL, make it suspicious and frightening: http://www.shadyurl.com/

Er, what? why? It is a random dodgy-url generator, irrespective of what you put in. (I gave it "sausages" and "pie" and it seemed happy enough!) It doesn't appear to actually do anything else... did I miss the point again?

Yes Instead of tinyurl.com/stuff you get something that sounds dodgy
