The service here is poor, most of the ingredients are not that fresh, the cheese seems to be processed cr*p, not fresh "proper" cheese, they are also expensive, for what you get.

That seems to be the problem with a lot of the "American" fast food restaurants, they are too darned expensive. You can go to a pub or proper restaurant and get a proper meal for less than a "menu" at a fast food restaurant...

They may be too darned expensive on the continent. But there aren't many options on the British high street that get you the same level of nutrition, hunger satiation and freshness for £2-3. Down here you could get a pasty, but that's not in the same league health wise. Aside from that, you're looking at a packet of sandwiches from a corner shop or supermarket and two triangles of sandwich just doesn't equal a sub.

It's not a turd, it's a great concept. Just like the fast food burger was 50yrs ago. Unfortunately, things have progressed, money has come into it and the whole things gone to hell.

I don't get it? :?

I had a subway today - and asked them to tesselate the cheese.

After explaining what that meant, the employee was more than happy to do it. :)

Can't be any worse than the junk they serve in McD's and the like.

I used to go a lot, new baguette place opened up fairly nearby so go there instead

Any Baguette £2.50
sandwich £2
roll £1.80

Loads of fillings and it's all fresh as they never put a load of veg out unless its busy

Lot quicker to get served too... and my gf said it tastes nicer
