and we already have a 3rd party competitor to the iPad clickyIt has a 12" touch screen with a resolution of 1366x768, flash, silverlight and java, rumoured to have a 1.6GHz Intel Atom chip in it, so itll be pretty nippy. and can apparently playback 1080p video coupled with a name that doesnt sound like a feminine hygiene product, means IMO this ones better

Yup that looks like a good web browsing tablet. I am sure that there will be quite a lot of them soon. Do you think will do the Ebook and gaming stuff too or will people need other devices for that? CCp.s. Which feminine hygiene product do you mean? I know Americans call sanitary towels "pads" but we don't over here do we? We use the word "pad" for launching rockets off or for drawing and writing on. p.p.s Is it right this thing is called a Joo Joo.

well i doubt it could run Crysis, but for pootling around on Farmville it should be alright couldnt comment on ebooks, i dont use them and yes it is called a Joojoo, not that it matters. Most people tend to refer to computers by their types - desktop, tablets etc - rather than brand names. Ever heard someoen say "just a minute, im on the eMachines"?

No Farm Ville on the iPad though. As for the name, I think they are called sanitary "towels" over here, rather than "pads".

Don't start that again. How can it play 1080p movies if it's resolution is 1366x768?

obviously it will have to downscale, like the iPad, but atleast this one has a screen capable of HD resolution.

Well they are guilty of exactly the same trick Apple are using then. How can you display 1080p (1920X1080) video on a screen that's 1366x768?

My Motorola V3 can play 1080p video..... ... as long as I scale it down to 320x240, lower the framerate and don't mind it sounding like dogsh*t Too silly!

Haha, should obviously read the rest of the thread before posting.
I just find it funny how people are up in arms when Apple use this marketing technique, but when this unknown company do it - then that's okay.
