Well, it was Mikado really but close enough. I just wish they did the other flavours already, because milk chocolate is so damned boooooooring :(

Arabian nights at the courtyard theatre in Stratford was fantastic. Great use of the stage, puppets, live music with truly top notch acting. It was also gratifying they insisted on using the original arabic based names instead of the anglicized versions.

Sometimes I think there should be mini contracts drawn up before you can have a tattoo...

One of my team members has bought me a box of Irish Truffles as a "Thank You" for helping her out with her work life for the past couple of months  I love working for a company that isn't shy about rewarding and acknowledging people who do a good job, even if it is their *job* 8-)

In may last job, they would count that as a bribe and you'd be disciplined.............. SERIOUSLY.

Yikes!! People at Speedo are forever getting little gifts for each other when something out of the ordinary has been happening to warrant appreciation :? Our company president even takes part!! This morning we just gave our Admin boss a little present we'd had made for her, a calendar for 2010 with pics of us all at various funny night outs around the edges. :D

Gifts within a company shouldn't be problematic.

I am part of a rewards and recognition commitee and its we get to decide on nominations and how much the reward should be(£10-£250 value of gift). POWER at last MWUAHAHAAHA!!! But each department can still do rewards as long as ther under £10 (its all to do with tax apparently). We do try and encourage people to nominate those that deserve it.

Now that is a sensible approach.

We have a monthly recognition award which is presented during our Company Brief, it's linked to one of our values (Courage, Always Learning, Passion & Creativity) and one person is selected for an Amazon voucher award each month. Aside from that though, people are always giving each other little boxes of chocolates or homemade cakes/jewellery/jam etc as a thank you for helping out or making a difference.
