iPad Is it for you? 

Considering buying one?
Yes I have cash just burning a hole in my pocket 5%  5%  [ 3 ]
Maybe, I will see how it goes for a bit and then decide 33%  33%  [ 19 ]

Yeah I am not wild about the 4:3 format but it sort of makes sense for scaling up Apps which it will do quite well. I am not sure what your problem is with the screen res though. How many pixels do you actually need on a screen that size? It has about 100 pixels per inch which is FAR more than my computer or my TV

When the iPhone first came out I neither needed nor wanted one. As the features I used became available on the iPhone I started thinking I might want one at some unspecified stage. Then my mobile 'phone died and I got a hand-me-down 3G handset.
I guess my point is that with software updates and version revisions people may just acquire them and then they'll be chuffed with it.

I dont care about the amount of pixels. I care that Apple say "you can play HD movies" when in fact the native resolution is lower than 720p.

Lupus aside, I've only just bought an iphone, so I'll stick with that for now. I can see a use for it on the coffee table in the lounge, whenever I can't be bothered to boot the laptop, but that's heading for "excess" territory.

(Yes, I know you are thinking it...the former apple hater now has 3 apple devices..)
