God Bless You Barack Obama?

Quote:
Theologian Robert Beckford takes a road trip across America retracing Barack Obama's journey from religious sceptic to devout Christian, revealing how the US President adopted the precepts of black liberation theology and turned them into a winning manifesto. Robert also speaks to those who helped Obama along his spiritual path, including Baptist ministers and former presidential candidates Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton

Tonight, BBC2 N Ireland 7:00pm-8:00pm

It says NI, but I'm assuming it'll be on in most regions...

Might watch this if I remember, failing that I'll iPlayer it :)

Most of it we can do ourselves, but it's a pain and an expensive one at that !!

Oh lots of little niggley bits then :( How easy is it to get at and change his bushes?

Not sure, the theory is that it should be quite straightforward, but experience has shown that with cars generally and our two in particular the job will be as simple or as complicated as Horace wants it to be...

Shall I bring our cards and teach you how to play "Spite & Malice" on the 6th? We can have a round of poker or two as well since I (sort of) know how to play it now

Just got an email from a company saying they'll phone me this afternoon about a possible job. :D

Well I think that went quite well. If they do get approval to take people on (they'll know in about a month) they'll contact me again to arrange an interview.
I do hope I get it as there's nothing else on the horizon that's any good.

That's what I was concerned about. Poor Horace. I hope he's not too stubborn and lets you fix him!

I hope so too, and I certainly hope he hasn't been comparing notes with Gordon (Saab 9000) who turned a simple wheel bearing change into a nightmare involving broken ABS sensor, having to take the entire strut off and use an industrial blowtorch and 20lb lump hammer on an anvil to get the old one out

Nice and easy does it I reckon. Horace is a "gentleman of a certain age" and I hope he'll realise that it's for his own good!!

Yes. Some cars don't seem to understand that we consider MOTs a necessary evil too. We don't just put them through it for the hell of it. Silly cars!

Because there's no way a non Christian could ever be voted in as president. Colour isn't an automatic bar from being president, gender isn't an automatic bar from being president, but lack of Christianity is!
