Why is DIY so difficult? Why can't it be like computer programming?!?!

Tried plastering, looks dreadful and dripping off the wall. Tried bleeding air from the central heating, still loses 2 bar pressure every 12 hours! Tried putting an opaque plastic film on the bathroom window, looks dreadful!

I want to help out in doing up the home, but there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do at the moment. :(

Dave, I've done this to just about all the internal windows at home here, if you need any tips let me know.

That was my point, in a roundabout way.

Just very frustrating, I have the week free, but can't do much, because the others are working and only coming over after work etc. So I feel like a spare part. :(

Just plastered 2 large areas which have been cemented over (where we filled in a window niche and where we took a wall out). It doesn't look too bad.

Taking a tea break, as my back is starting to ache.

They're filming The Bill round the corner from my house.

Might wander over to see what the catering is like

It's something that'll get easier as you practise.

I have ways.

Wasn't that good, afternoon snacks was just sandwiches. It's amazing what you can do wandering through a set with a dark jacket on & a couple of mic leads in your hand.

Sandwiches is the usual aft'noon snack. Maybe cakes too. Was it really the set or just the unit base? The base is usually a lot quieter, I reckon you'd have been much less lucky on set. ;)
