Looks like it did when we left it, but I can't log in. Oh well.

I've just managed to log in by using my username instead of my email address. Peter.

It’s a major regression, as far as I am concerned. Any “improvements” which were being talked up so much last week are annoyances at the least can’t even be tried because of the speed issues. I have to log on all the time because the “Remember Me” check box fails to do anything. The font size has shrunk, even though the trend is to bigger text sizes. It is a mess. A huge, steamy pile of mess. Edit: it’s just sped up. Dunno what made it so slow before.

Popped in and had a quick look at lunchtime. Couldn't see anything worth staying about for - indeed when I was there I couldn't see any posts from post upgrade.
I'm staying here me-thinks.

It doesn't seem different, I agree. However, on the MU side no-one's using the Meeting Place so it's remaining a stagnant mess of swearing and ranting from before they closed it down. Any posts I make there won't be seen in the PCP side. Likewise in the Comments forum. So, I have to log into both MU and PCP in order to carry on some kind of sensible relationship with my friends. Only I won't. I'll be here instead. I'll be popping into the Mac User side occasionally, a bit like visiting a maiden aunt with boxes of jellied fruits, but the heart and soul's been ripped out of the old place now. Long live x404!

They haven't upgraded it.
It's still the same forum software, but it's been split.

I logged into PCP and MU meeting places just to see if I could post, and I can. I logged in with my email address and old password to both sites. All the old info is duplicated accross the different logins, but new posts do indeed only show in the respective portals. It's very fast right now. The breadcrumbs are broken, as several people have commented. And most importantly, there's nobody there

Most of the members of the Mac User forum never ventured into the Meeting Place. Consequently, they have even less of a reason to go there now. I saw JJ's post, but decided to leave it to echo about the place and disturb the cockroaches.
Old MU regulars will continue their conversations in the main MU forum, occasionally talking to each other in the Comments forums, and popping up occasionally in the other forums on that side of the divide. But the MP will most likely remain a crumbling, echoing void, a place of ill omen that won't be visited by the MU regulars. It will collect cobwebs until an admin puts it out of its misery and deletes it.

Even the Comments forum will be deathly quiet on the MU side, I suspect; save for the doleful wailing of Amnesia10. I'd guess the PCPro side might be more lively.
