I desperately want those twins to win it.
It'll not happen, but it doesn't stop me wanting it.
Now that all the bad/mediocre singers are out of the way (excluding those twins) it's looking more and more like they'll be voted out this coming weekend.

I think they'll be 3rd. People want to see them every week for a laugh, but when there are no more weeks there'll be no point in voting for them as they can't sing.

He's been whining for weeks about how John and Edward can't sing. Now he votes to keep them in and Lucy (who I think is the best of the girls) is sent home.
Her final performance was rubbish though. That Ghostbusters version by the twins was far better than whatever it was that that girl did.

I missed this weeks as I was at a bonfire. The clip on last nights show did show an improvement from the twins, but I still think Lucy was better.

Me too, IMO it'll show that things like X Factor are little better than the likes of Big Brother....

It's better by virtue of the fact that it's only on for two hours a week, not one hundred and sixty eight.

She wasn't, at least not in her final performance. Off-key and out of tune for the first half of the song.
Ghostbusters was probably the best performance of the twins thus far.

I agree.

Questions: As I don't watch it I'm unsure of this, but how can you be a judge and a mentor? Surely that's a conflict of interest? :?

Also, surely Cowell alone has too much of a vested interest no matter what the outcome?

Exactly. And as long as John and Edward stay in there'll be plenty of people voting to keep them in and plenty voting to throw them out. More cash in Cowell's pocket. Unfortunately, without the twins it would be a more boring show :|

Ofcom set to investigate fix claims after Cowell's decision

I really hope they denounce it as a fix - I'd also like to see them comment on Cole's promoting of her single on the show, even if it was a loophole in their remit etc

Are these people just stupid or something? How can Cowell have fixed it when it went down to the public vote. There's nothing to investigate. You can't make a formal complaint just because you don't like the people that stayed in.

I think they're questioning whether it legitimately went down to a public vote, or if Cowell was on a revenue raiser or something - I honestly don't know for certain, I don't watch it :)

Maybe it is time to stop dragging the show out over two days (and I wonder why that was decided upon....Ker-ching!) and take it back to what it was before. One show where the contestants sing and a short follow-up show the same evening. Also dump the 'sing off' and just throw out the act with the lowest public vote as the judges' voting isn't impartial and open to abuse. I'd also like to see the tally of votes too.

Or better still just dump the show altogether :)
