Ours has reopened as Wellworths. Haven't been in yet as I never used the old one unless I was Christmas shopping.

Well, it’s good to see that there are some that are being used. Woolworths left a massive hole in the high street. The downside here is that the main entrance to the vacant shop is still unoccupied (the new ones are down the side), so it still looks like an abandoned hulk.

What a coincidence. Just been in for the first time. Robert Dyas didn't have any R63 bulbs, so thought Wellies would be a good shout. They didn't have any either. So it's not just me whose spotlights seem to blow continuously.

It}s always worth asking an assistant how much something is, just incase there is a mistake.

Moorland Rd, in Oldfield Park (where most of the student houses are (although not mine!) - head south from Lower Bristol Rd at Sainsbury's Petrol Station)

Ahhh, I'm sure there used to be a large one up near Jollys, IIRC, but that was over a decade ago...I though it had just moved from Bath completely...

Sorry, I wouldn't know - I'm a bit of a Bath n00b :( Have you been recently and seen the new Southgate Centre/Bus Station oppostie the train station? I was in Bath yesterday, and I'm heading back tonight. Seems pointless working today! Oh well!

Yes, the new bus station is nice. I'm in two minds about the new Southgate Centre, on the one hand I think the area needed to be updated, but on the other hand, I had childhood memories of the area...

I do think it'll be a good thing though. The bus station is certainly better.

I've only seen the old area on Google Maps :( Apparently it was rather delapidated, though, and hopefully once the new centre weathers in after 5 years or so it'll be part of everyone's memories as the old one was.
