Just over a year ago bad karma happened. This changed my outlook and now I just don't give a ****. Sh1t still happens but I can deal with it better (typical male stance of sticking head in the dirt until it goes away). It doesn't actually go away - my wife deals with it...

Glad to see you with a smile on your face... :D

There's a roof over my head,
My socks are dry,
No B*****'s shooting at me.
Life is good. :)

Luxury is a subjective and relative, well, luxury.

is this normal? I find on not some but MOST instances where if I really want something or want to go to an event which will be great, the opposite always happans? if I linger onto eg I wanted to go to some RAF trip to have a shot on the back of a chinook down at some raf base but it got cancelled, I find this happans alot with me, everything I "plan" turns to rot etc, hard to explain but its quite annoying :|

Yeah? Well, good for you.
For those of us that don't want to go comparing our lives to somebody else's and like to compare the good Vs. bad then that's our prerogative.
There will always be someone, somewhere that is either better of or worse off that you.

So what you're saying - and correct me if I'm barking up the wrong lamppost - is that you see a glass half full in a half empty kind of way.

No, what I'm saying is that I don't see the glass at all at the moment. (8+|

Just a puddle? That's my kind of approach to life. I'm only in Bath today to try and fix some uni related stuff. Hrmph.

That's just semantics. Whichever way you look at it, there's only half in there and not a glass full to the brim.

So, you genuinely can't look at any aspect of your life and see the point to it? You can't see any enjoyment or satisfaction or purpose?

Take half empty glass.

Find glass half its capacity.

Fill small glass with contents of large glass.

Discard large glass.

Result: full glass.
