Yes we are screwed no matter who wins, but the Tories will make things worse. They will have to make serious numbers redundant to get anywhere near balance departmental books. Much of the education budget is wages, and that applies to many segments of the government. Wage freezes will be essential and higher taxes essential. The public need to decide whether they want taxes or NHS. Maybe this time the Tories can dismantle it. One Bank of England advisor has stated that the Tories will add another several hundred thousand to unemployment figures on top of what is expected already.

Labour have all but bankrupted the Country (again), they have borrowed against the future. Heavily. Of course it's going to be painful shovelling through our mountain of debt.
