Has anyone seen the Scorsese / Rolling Stones film Shine A Light?

I caught it on Sky the other night and thought it was fantastic. I can't believe that the 'boys' are still so energetic and enthusiastic on stage. They put the younger bands of today to shame.

There was some great clips of old interviews and fabulous lines from new interviews.

- Mick saying he thought the Stones would only last about 3 years when he was interviewed in the ealy days

- Ronnie and Keith debating who was the better guitar player 'The 2 of us are average but together we're better than 10 guitar players put together'

- Keith singing 'You Got The Silver' was another memorable moment.

I enjoyed it all. I still think Ronnie is an idiot for dumping Jo though.

I have, and enjoyed it. Don't really know what to add to what you've said, Caz.

It is utterly brilliant as a look at the Stones and their music overall and a five star film because of that, but I actually thought the bits with Scorsese in them were really contrived :o

I mean, they're nothing major at all, but the film didn't need them...

I thought it was quite interesting to see Scorsese behind the scenes and to see his interaction with the band. Like you said there wasn't too much of it.

I did laugh at the bit where one of the bulbs blew and Scorsese and his team were quite startled
