If you try and pick up a chicken slowly and gently it'll run away.
If you shoot your hands down quickly and grab it by the wings then it'll freeze and let you pick it up.

Butthead (of Beavis & Butthead fame) has (or had, because Bongiorno is now dead) the same haircut as Mike Bongiorno.

I can have a woodburner in my living room by buying a woodburner and putting a firegel kit in it. Or at least, I think I can!

The South American Fur Seal's gestation lasts between 9 and 12 months. This is down to the quality and availability of the food supply. Ain't that clever?

So if food is in plentiful supply will she squeeze out the pup quicker? Or will she just eat more and develop the pup for longer?

Yup, when the food's good and there's lots of it, she has the shorter gestation. When it's harder to gather sufficient nutrition, the pup gestates for longer.

Industrial grade power sockets are colour coded according to their maximum voltage.

I would have thought that was quite obvious. Edd's learned something new, but it's classified.

Building a new pier requires an Act of Parliament. At any time, there are around 55 piers in the UK.
