Good price - that's what it cost to order online at it's cheapest (far as I could see) :D

Had a clubcard voucher giving 400 extra points, so it technically cost a bit less than that!

Ok, 5% complete and it is awesome so far. There's also some "Play as the joker" levels on PSN, which could be fun!

My Collector's Edition arrived on Friday. Did anyone else order one?

The box is very fancy. A transparent plastic sleeve over a box that has a batsign shape cut out of the lid, revealing the batarang underneath. The batarang, the main reason I shelled out £60 isn't metallic like it appears in the pics. It's made out of some cheap wood, has a poor-quality paint applied and then has criss-crosses all over it presumably to demonstrate wear and tear. The stand is cheap too. The inside of the box has a velvet material applied which isn't too bad. The manual and journal both have a 'diary' look to them. The journal in particular is quite nicely done and I was more pleased with this than the batarang.

At least I have a template to make my own batarangs out of metal.

As for the game, will have to fetch my TV and PS3 out of storage tomorrrow so I can play it.

I picked mine up yesterday after i'd just come back from holiday.

Agree that the batarang was rather lacklustre.... it seems like the American's got a much better deal than us since i believe they received PCErnie's version with a metal tin and the Journal being bound in a leather. That said, i wasn't sure whether "our" batarang was made out of wood or not but supposedly the American version is plastic. Also "glad" (in a sense) to hear that the batarang is "supposed" to be criss-crossed... wasn't sure if it was just mine being scratched to hell by accident. - info from here.

Around this page are two good articles by the look of it (don't wanna read them until I've played the game) - one on what other comic book games could learn from 'Asylum, and the other covers the hidden easter eggs in the game... Needless to say, spoiler-tastic!:

There's a lot about the game that is great - it is almost one big hommage to the side-scrolling beat-em-up's from the Megadrive and Snes era, with a Bioshock like atmosphere and a Tenchu stealth element.

It dragged on a bit though.

Just started playing this (wasn't able to get my PS3 and TV out of storage until yesterday) plus am on night shifts at work, so can't concentrate as well. But bloody hell it's fantastic! Even the aura you get when you just walk around looking for stuff.

At the mo, I've just got as far as the bit where you find Boles. Now I've started looking for the some of the hidden stuff.

Initially hated the action as it's just button bashing but do a bit more and you start to find cool combos. Plus I love the upgrade feature, though there are times when it would be better to have all of the upgrades. Pity you can't replay the game with a fully-loaded Batman.

That's a shame :(, i really love it when you can go back through the game as a fully powered character (e.g. Devil May Cry, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden 2)
