My car has that too. Rather annoyingly if you switch it off, all that happens is that you wheelspin off the startline.

Bet you didn't see that coming ;)

What's ESP?
What's ABS?
What's an airbag?
What's power-steering?
What's central locking (never mind remote locking lol)?
What's sat-nav?
What are disc brakes?

Extra Sensory Perception, lets you see events before they happen allowing you to tailgate much closer:
ABS - Automatic Badger shotguns - lets you shoot badgers out of the front of the car so you stop quicker
Power-Steering - You have one of the power rangers physically turning your wheels
Central locking - Your car is physically locked by the laws of physics to that point in time in that dimension making it impossible to move until it's unlocked
sat-nav - a navigation system that only works when you are sat on your bum
disc brakes - A way to reuse all those old 45's ;)

Central locking is wrong : Central locking - you can reach all of the door locks from the driver's seat! Was part of Citroen's advertising for 2CV, or lampooned by Digents or Carrot as being so...

I doubt anyone could hit the rear passenger seat lock in my car from the drivers seat...

You mean seat lock, as in to hinge the seat forward fin? Or door lock to hold the door closed?

If so, add that to the list of stuff I don't have!!

I was looking at a Skoda Octavia Scout and, whilst I probably won't buy one, I thought it was quite clever how there was an SD card slot in the radio. For a few pounds, I could buy a huge SD card and use it like an MP3 player :)

I'd never seen that functionality before and thought it was a good idea rather than having to plug in the iPod.

Peter.

You'd need to check whether it supports SDHC. My oem satnav has a slot for SD cards but the max it will accept is 2GB.

Good point, but I can't really find the answer since everywhere just states "SD". I only have 1.6Gb of music, so it wouldn't be a huge issue for me.

Peter.

Wow, really? I have 22.6gb of 128-196kbps MP3 on here. :) Although yours is just 157 copies of "Never Gonna Give You Up" isn't it? :D

Have you been to a Toyota garage yet? Some of the Aurii (Auris) are nice cars, and have some clever features too. And theyre Japanese, so that means they're bulletproof. Or you could get a used Corolla T-Sport (or T-Spirit, I forget which). Very nice and fast car.

Or just get a Focus. :D

I disagree. The interior feels cheap and plasticy compared to the Corolla it replaced. I'm assuming Toyota got that message from feed back from customers as the new Verso, even though it's based on the Auris, has a much better interior.

As much as I like the Corolla (I have one), they don't have the high driving position or leather seats you're looking for.
The T-Spirit is 1.6, the T-Sport is 1.8
