I don't need a reality! Edd-land is a wonderfully fictional place (8-p)

Who are these people? Scare merchants? There seems to be a lot of those over the pond at the moment. Look at Sarah Palin’s recent comments about health reforms. I’m afraid that I’m not given to take stories like this very seriously in the current situation. I feel that there is very likely an agenda here, and one that has been carefully hidden. Dvorak is known to be provocational and reactionary when writing in the tech industry. Why would he change for other subjects?

Have you actually listened to their podcasts? What they actually do is watch the live feeds on CSPAN from the House in Washington and report on what was said there - and generally ignored by the main press.

They occasionally go over the top, but generally they are just angry about the FUD coming out of the administration and drug companies (they have a real thing against Monsanto and GM crops - like Monsanto have patented normal corn and farmers in America won't be able to use the seed from normal corn, they will have to buy GM corn, which they can't keep seed from for next year, because it doesn't produce fertilised seeds...).

Interestingly they are non-partisan, when it comes to politics, they don't just go against the Administration, but also against the opposition, when they do something stupid. It is a fascinating listen!

Everything that they comment upon is linked to in the show notes and the listener can decide for themselves whether to believe what they say or not. I started listening to John on TWiT and then Cranky Geeks. He is reactionary, but he generally makes a lot of sense.
