I might have to start storing these up, and then have a different one as a sig for each day of the week.

I did get an unofficial nod that the email/letter writing was a good idea. People were going to do it internally as well.

Now that is interesting ! If it does turn out they want to talk why not invite them to join us over here for a chat. Its been done before when a company has ruffled feathers big time with a specialist forum it just needs moderating very carefully.

I’ve not had a reply either. Like others, I’ll leave it a couple more days and then drop a "did you miss my message?" email to them.
I am not expecting to get a reply though. It’s sad to note, but these days it seems normal for the big companies to ignore their customers.
I would be incredibly surprised if I did get a reply from Felix though.

I'd be less surprised to read a general "open reply" on the website and magazines somewhere. It's clear "they" did not anticipate such a reaction, although I'd be interested in knowing who exactly "they" were.

How did they think we'd react? "Oh yeah, that segregating different magazine readers was a great idea". I think they must've known we loved the meeting place.

but it was the only forum on the site you could post on across all sites they had already locked out posting on the other cross site forum without any consultation …

I think soddit was being sarcastic there, although iirc the help forum was the most used.[/pedant]

Depends which forum you're talking about, I don't believe the CPC help forum was used a great deal compared to hardware and the Meeting Place. Still, the fact of the matter is, the Meeting place was important to us and they took it away.

i was being sarcastic, for those who didnt get it i hailed from the CPC side, so i dont know about your comments and help forum. our help was pretty dead compared to others such as hardware and overclocking, and half the posts in the CPC mag sub-forum got moved or locked anyway

No reply here, but I hope that some of the longer term members would add their weight - I’m looking at the likes of Heather, Mark, Finlay....

I think "they" have received the message. For heavens sake, we've got two of the editors signed up here and they've said it's been discussed with those "above". As I said before, I would expect an official "open reply" in the upcoming publications and on the website when it's back on line. There's bound to be some kind of response, even if it's not what you want. It's only a few days to wait. Mail-bombing them is not going to achieve anything except bad feeling.
