Did you actually have pledge allegiance to the Queen? How come people who are born British don't have to do this? Does the state automatically assume that anyone born to British parents on British soil is automatically a patriotic British Citizen? How quaint!

Yes I did That’s the oath and pledge : Citizenship Oath of Allegiance: I... swear by Almighty God that, on becoming a British citizen, I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Her Heirs and Successors according to law. Citizenship Pledge I will give my loyalty to the United Kingdom and respect its rights and freedoms. I will uphold its democratic values. I will observe its laws faithfully and fulfil my duties and obligations as a British citizen.[3]

That's a bit of an outdated pledge, since half the population don't follow 'God' and there's no legal requirement for them to do so.

Still no-one has come up with a an answer for why people who were "born British" don't have to make this pledge.
Maybe it's because the powers that be have an inkling of just how many great british citizens would tell them to stick their stupid pledge.
Is it actually legally binding? Do you have to sign anything?

Congrats on becoming a British citizen. I once did a sample question set of the British citizenship test and failed. Mostly on questions of history and politics, both of which I'm rubbish at and always have been. The allegiance is also unusual in that most of us civilians have never sworn it. TBH I've never sworn on the Hippocratic Oath either.

Damn, those would be the questions I'd probably get right! I used to love the St. Trinians' films as a kid. But probably haven't watched them since I was about 12.

98%. That is how much charge was left in my Hauwei Mate 10 Pro after 11 hours! I charged it up yesterday (after 3 days, it had fallen to 46%) and removed the charging cable at around 8 yesterday evening. Now, at 7:30 (local time), the phone is still showing 98% full.
My old Nexus 5X would lose between 10% and 90% charge in that time.
