Occasionally have that issue (including early this morning on my iPad) but seems to be intermittent. GCHQ are probably checking for subversives or something.

For a lot of last night you might have actually done that. (8+p

Was this the error from your proxy server?

Apart from some backups etc the server was up last night

Was down for me too last night around same time as Mark, I have no proxy server - on PlusNet if that makes any difference - all other sites loaded fine but this one wouldn't load and timed out after a minute with an error.

Any plans to add Tapatalk back in, I miss it!

I was in work last night, so the chances of me going through a proxy are high, but the last time I had the same error I had it confirmed by two other forum users that the site was inaccessible for them as well.
And as you can see, Steve74 also confirmed that the site wasn't available.
I'm not making this stuff up. (8+D

Ian McCaskill dies at 76

If I was an elderly celeb I'd be bricking it for the next couple of weeks.

2016 claims another. I remember his Spitting Image puppet. Always very enthusiastic.

I wouldn't count on Brucie carking it any time soon. He syphons the life off the contestants and pros on Strictly Come Dancing - that's why they keep bringing in new pros each year. A few series exposure to the Life Suck machine is all most people can take :D

2016 - so unrelentingly awful I may actually celebrate New Year's.

Have you not heard? He doesn't present Strictly any more

I'm well aware he doesn't present it any more. You don't need to be on screen to use the Life Suck machine :D
On a more serious note, I'm not aware of any particular reason (other than his age) why he'd be more or less likely to pop his clogs than anyone else of the same vintage.

He's supposedly on the mend, but it's no secret that he was very ill recently. Allegedly the BBC and everyone else dusted off the obituary, with the Beeb discreetly asking his peers was there anything it should know. Came back all good.
