Do you get much of a choice these days? Aren't most sets 'Smart' in some way, shape or form now anyway?

They seem to be, and most of it next to useless without a decent, seperate controller. Assuming the app's responsive to that...

+1000. I have a 'smart' TV but have never used a single one of it's smart features. In fact, as part of the initial setup, it asked 'Are you just going to use this TV as a monitor screen, and do you want me to switch all that stuff off?' and I said 'yes'.

My TV has a few smart functions. I tried them out, but, frankly, the PlayStations and the Apple TV do all that better.
