This bloke though...if he had any brains he'd have no real excuse if they'd have ended up aerated.

Didn't we have a photo of the case on here a year or so back? Or maybe I saw it on a news site. I the time, I thought the whole idea was dumb.

Open carry is a thing in the USA, unless you're black, of course. In which case, not carrying a gun seems just as likely to result in death by cop.
