Ongoing investigation doesn't seem to have stopped C4 from reporting on it for one.

Jeremy Corbyn: the BBC is 'obsessed' with damaging my leadership | Politics | The Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... ocumentaryIf a Tory made that remark they'd be in every newspaper, Corbyn can't even inadvertently draw that attention.

WTF? Genuinely, what the..
If they declare it a three line whip Corbyn should vote with the stated party position, them's the 'rules', at least they always have been, informally. Backbench MPs have been expelled from parties for voting against a three line whip, let alone one of the executive doing it. However it would be utterly unprecedented to have a three line whip without the party leader's approval. It would be, in effect, the PLP staging a coup against the party leadership. And it would go down VERY badly among the party rank and file who, whatever their opinion on Trident, still very much support Corbyn being in office. Plus a quite a lot of the PLP would be writing their own political obituary, given they'd almost certainly face deselection at the next GE which admittedly is quite a long way away. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the PLP weren't great long term thinkers.
There still seems to be a Blairist/Brownist wing of the PLP who really do not give a flying one what the party membership think or care about and are prepared to sink the party below the waterline as long as they get to pick where the hole is.

The entire tone of that... has he lost it? I mean he was hateful in every sense and increasingly so, but... Chilcot report pressure?

It would raise all SORTS of ruckus if it was implemented but I can't actually see a fundamental reason why it shouldn't apply. Council rental tenants and private rental tenants aren't all that fundamentally different, it's just the thing they're renting the property off is different, which makes absolutely no difference to the principle that people should have the opportunity to buy a home they have lived in for a significant period of time.
What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Provided a reasonable price is paid, I see no great logic in why one is different to the other.

Nothing gets checked any more, which is especially bad when the media is already determined to provide a narrative instead of the facts. Sadly that's true of modern life in general now we've got so many news sources. See the EU vote, Trump, the crucification of the poor and disabled... This is why we're seeing such drastic swings from left to right. Everyone believes they're in a battle between good and evil. Mind you, I've no doubt the Tories are actually evil...

And documents passed to the BBC suggest how Jeremy Corbyn's office sought to delay and water down the Labour Remain campaign. Sources suggest that they are evidence of "deliberate sabotage".
Goddamn phone fail... That's from Laura Kussubad, so it'll need to be watertight not to become a media circus that damages the Beeb as much as Labour.
Corbyn keeps giving the fcukwits ammo, so on his own head be it.

Laura Kuenssberg? If it's her that broke this story it's almost inevitably going to lead to further shouting matches about BBC impartiality.
If the document exists (It may well, I think we need some level of corroboration) then it's almost certainly someone in the faction who want him out that has leaked it. I don't quite go with the 'labour failed remain' story. More labour voters voted remain than any other party's voters did, yet some of the people resigning on the basis of Corbyn's 'lacklustre campaigning' are MPS for constituencies that overall voted leave. If they couldn't bring their own constituency's voters into the remain camp, what gives them any right at all to complain about Corbyn?

Also, the first cabinet member to resign (Shadow health, can't remember her name, didn't seem to make much noise during the junior doctors dispute, which you'd think she would have) managed to forget to change the date on her draft resignation letter properly. This 'mass resignation to force a leadership contest' deal has patently been in the planning for months, so. Corbyn's performance in the ref is the excuse, not the reason.

Corbyn office 'sabotaged' EU Remain campaign - sources - BBC News http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36633238I wonder if the reason she's so hated by Labour is that some of them have been using her to cause division. She certainly shouldn't rely on the BBC to back her if the sh1t hits the fan, and she can't reveal her sources, so... But enough about her, Milne has been a disaster from the get-go... Though like Laura, the Guardian have left themselves exposed to accusations they can't defend there, because journalism.

Corbyn sabotaged Labour’s remain campaign. He must resign | Phil Wilson | Opinion | The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... r-betrayalIf there's evidence, fair enough. But I still didn't see too many current Labour faces during the campaign, and yet somehow they've all showed up afterwards. FFS, even Blair turned up alongside Major during it.
