Club politics. And all because someone clearly wants a massive argument and is trying to drive wedged between various committee members to her own agenda. I've been trying to have a quiet relaxing weekend away, and this blows up.

Today I basically told her to "shut the [LIFTED] up" but not with the profanities.

What was a valid opinion has become personal. Other committee members have told me that they have stopped replying to her.

So very annoyed that I've lost a weekend to it.

We've got a divide and conquer bitch in work, I really wish I had some advice!

Vote to have her removed or something?

It rattled on onto today too. After a brief exchange do emails with the others on the committee, it seems that everyone else has muted her. So I have too.

If you are away for the weekend, why don't you just turn off your email? Or better still your phone?

Off to LA on Friday for about a week.
I was intending to just pack a back pack I can chuck in the overhead luggage and forget about the whole waiting for bags business.
Except I'd forgotten about the 100ml limit which needs to be sealed in a transparent tamper proof bag business for your toiletries.
So, do I just hunt down a bunch of small bottles and so on, or just check the bag into luggage and accept the wait at either end?

I'm slumming it enough already, what with not having the valet in attendance and all.
I'll probably just do the baggage thing, then it's one less thing to have searched at boarding.

Contractors etc in work are all shaking my hand because I've been able to help them out or point them in the right direction... it seems to be a weird trend, and for some reason I actually find it uncomfortable in the moment. I guess it's cos I never expect it and then overthink it as a result!

Whether I'm going to have a job to back to after these two weeks offshore.

Just to fill you in. I've been on a zero hours contract with Blue Arrow )agency) at M&S.
M&S recently offered me a contract starting this Sunday.
Initially I accepted.
Then an oil agency offered me two to four weeks off shore.
I accepted that and told Blue Arrow that I wouldn't be working the last week of my time with time, I also told M&S I would now be turning down their contract unless the start date could be delayed.
They said no which is fair enough.
So initially Blue Arrow were aware that I was asking for the contract delay, and that I wanted to stay on their books if M&S said no. One of their reps said that was fine and she'd let the appropriate people know. ......And so I headed off to Denmark yesterday.
Anyway come yesterday afternoon there's a host of missed phone calls and emails asking why I wasn't there. I've had to reply copying all the previous emails.
I'm starting to get the feeling that the original person who said it was okay for me to be off and then come back wasn't authorized to do so.
So maybe I won't be going back there after all.

I'd go light (remember no razor either) and then buy the smallest bottles/cans at the other end. Hotels have soap, shower gel and shampoo anyway and they will usually give you a disposable razor, if you ask (at least the better hotels).

If you want to go full Jack Reacher, then you don't even need the backpack, just a couple of hundred bucks in the pocket to buy new clothes every couple of days... ;)

I'm bursting with exciting news that I can't tell anyone.

I am currently sitting on 2 huge secrets, one of which comes to fruition on the 4th June, but the other one has to wait an extra 2 weeks!!

I want to tell everyone I ever met about it, but I daren't and I have to keep reminding myself that I can't tell anyone because I am the absolute *worst* at keeping a secret.

*squeak*

You can't do that. It's illegal or something. You must tell us now!
