We've already had the Jungle Book. I saw a trailer for Petes Dragon at the weekend and Beauty and the Beast is on the way as well.

I thought Urbans Dredd was really good (but I've never read any of the cartoons). Mind you, I didn't see it at the cinema.

Jungle Book was a bit crap IMO, technically impressive but nothing else.

Oh, leave it alone. It's of it's time and the sequels were the beginning of the end for the brothers (now sisters) creatively. They'd have to retcon the trilogy or start with a whole new team, and even then it's a big gamble. It would likely also need to be handled by someone fresh; those two make nothing but box office poison now.

People are angry that a beloved franchise that actually wasn't going any further because the original cast wanted quality, has now become a 'Melissa McCarthy movie' from 'the director of Bridesmaids'. One with a studio gimmick of 'We'll make them all women!' (practically Sony policy during the leaks, apparently), terrible trailers, seemingly a script a child wouldn't laugh at... So what do they do? They imply sexism! Even racism! Fcuk off, it looks like a POS and you're lucky people are talking about it at all.

If it was likely to be good in terms of getting the movie continuity ducks in a row, no problem. But Fox is likely to carry on with what they have, not to mention Gambit and various other spin-offs that will likely add rather than adjust. Plus they probably wouldn't want to pay her lol.
