Dirty mind aside - you can spend quite a bit on a peel but mine looks identical to this £10 jobbie from Amazon

OK, I've just got round to watching the new All Saints video properly and...

How the HELL have none of them apparently aged a single day in 15 sodding years? One of them married Liam Gallagher for Christ's sake. If that's not going to put years on you I don't know what is. Yet it looks like someone just went back in a time machine and kidnapped them from 1999.

Just because you have a Crystal Tips hair cut... I'm slowly sporting a helicopter landing pad on the top of my head, as my wife calls it...

That has been my Facebook profile pic numerous time. You're not the first to say it and won't be the last. Plenty of other names I've been called too. Harpo (from the Marx bros) being one of them lol

If my name was Brian Blessed I would be bellowing "THE AMIGA'S ALIIIIIVE!"

For those of you who weren't aware, I took delivery of an Amiga 1200, from a colleague recently. It had been sat on a wardrobe for the past seven years and needed testing.

It came with a 256MB, yes MEGA Byte Hard drive, but strangely, no cable connecting it to the motherboard.

Long story short, I bough an IDE to Compact Flash adapter and a 4GB CF card, installed Workbench, (The Amiga Operating System) from my PC using an emulator, and we now have a working Amiga!

The floppy drive may be on the way out, as it's not reading any og the disks that came with it, but I've ordered a Floppy Drive USB emulator, so I can play ADF games directly from a USB stick.

Might be boring to most of you, but the chance to practice Kick Off 2 on a real Amiga before the UK Championships in May has got me strangely excited.

Could also be the floppies are too old... Especially if they have copy protection and the area where the protection is, is worn out.

I wish I hadn't given my Amiga away, but I didn't have room in storage, when I sold my house in the UK and before I moved to Germany.

Yeah, I was thinking the same about the floppy disks but I've got a few gigs worth of adf files so it makes sense to get the USB adapter.

Tripe. I'll yawn no matter who's doing it.

I really should have thought about this sooner.
I got new glasses at the weekend from Boots. Took their advice and got their 'protect plus blue' lenses as I do a lot of computer work and the lenses are meant to result in less fatigue caused by the blue light from computer screens. That's all fine until you are doing something where colour is important.
Was editing some photos in Lightroom and was trying various exposure presets. Happened to look over the top of my specs and the colour shift was very noticeable. :x
Glad I spotted it otherwise the colour balance would be out.
Also updated my iPad to 9.3 and had a look at the Night Shift setting. With my glasses on the white point looks very warm indeed, less so without. Shame I can't read the screen without them.

This requires some thought. I don't particularly want to spend on another pair of glasses. Looks like I'll be holding on to my old specs for a while.

I turned them down when they offered me that option, between the cost on top of the standard rip-off and me deciding I'd regulate my viewing habits, they weren't too pleased.

I'd argue things weren't explained to you when you bought them. I take it the standard free pair are the same?

The step down lenses don't have the blue coating. To be fair, colour accuracy doesn't mean squat for my job which is where I spend most time in front of a computer so they weren't a bad choice from that point of view.
No free pair. Additionals at 50% off. On balance Boots did a better job of the eye test but, even with a discount I get through work, I would have been better off sticking with Spec Savers.

I would go and get them swapped. Tell them it's not fit for purpose.
