I had a 3210 once, it was teh shizzle back in the day. I think it got superseded by a Nokia 3510i, which is still about somewhere. I remember my Dad had a 5110 in the late 90s, although I think he only had it 'cos Scully had one. I also remember wanting a "Matrix phone".

I wanted one too, but they never actually sold the one in the movie. I do have the next best thing though: Still works, 10 years later They don't make 'em like they used to. I miss snake too, Nick I used to play 2 player with my other Nokia owning friends over infrared in the pub. Ahh memories

I have my old one of those too. It was my second handset that I got as a free upgrade. As for the Matrix phone, Okenobi is correct, they never made a retail version of that. The one in the film was actually a modified version of one of these. Those handsets never had the spring-loaded sliding front. Mark

They should have made them, they'd have made some serious cash.

Ahh, the banana phone. The only phone to fit the curve of your arse when it was in you're back pocket. I modded my one with the spring bit, not an easy job

Still best to do, my mums old nokia implied the contacts were on the sim card but a few were on the phone itself and would have been lost And I meant for the other phone with the old sim card to, so that there are none overwritten

The 3330 was the first phone I had. Loved that bean playing game. There was also snake but what was the third game? I wants the 3GS but social issues prevent that for the time being.

How often do you change phone I keep most of my contacts on the phone, because sims don't support multiple details against a contact and there just isn't enough room on them - unless that's changed? They are manually backed up to the laptop via bluetooth should I ever need to load them onto a new phone, although I'll expect my next phone to synch my contacts in a more seamless way.

You see, my needs are more simple.
All my contacts have a name and number, and that's it. I've now got copies on the SIM (truncated, funnily enough, probably due to limited space), but I've still got 70-odd spaces free.
It won't be until next week or the end of the month before I get a chance to check the SIM in the new gadget.

Sorry, that comment really wasn't aimed at you. I was just surprised at l3v1ck or anyone changing handset so often that they place swapability above function. To answer your original question, it will probably work just fine. Only one way to find out...

What function? Ok My SIM only stores 100 numbers and the phone stores hundreds more. But I only have 88 numbers to store.

Yep, that's true. I've got loads of numbers in the contacts list, but to be honest I call about three of them regularly.

I'm the same. Haven't stored numbers on the sim ever. The phone above was my very first handset, back in 1999 and even that could store multiple fields against a contact. I couldn't be assed with the ball ache of backing up to sim when changing phones. Backup to a computer and save yourself the hassle.

Hypothetical. If I had all that advanced stuff stored on a Samsung phone and backed up to my PC using Samsung' software, would I be able to transfer all those contact details to a non-Samsung phone in the future. Or would I have to enter them all onto the (say Nokia) phone by hand?
