£500 USB cable? That's insane, I mean it's digital. Now, £500 for a HDMI cable, that's got to be totally worth it.
:D

I'm currently having to write horse manure in the end-of-year CSB/Self Assessment/corporate waste-of-time that's pushed on everyone on the SD.
I currently am stuck at the section on assessing own performance/setting own challenging short, mid and long-term goals/new skill aquisitions/demonstrates enthusiasm and engagement/demonstrating the ability to show skill and integrity in the role.
KILL ME NOW.

Ours are quarterly, it's the most ridiculous waste of time and effort.

Have you been sent on a course or did any training recently that you could wangle an answer from?

Say that you work well with others?

Got any emails saying job well done?

Deal with anyone outside the company?

Trained anyone?

Handled/worked around any hardware/software issues on the fly, or set up any hardware?

Dealt with suppliers?

Is your ambition to liaise with other branches of the company... I'm out of ideas ;)

I put down this for one of my answers
Quote:
Enthusiasm for my role is demonstrated by not actively looking for employment elsewhere. :)
I suspect he'll not accept that when he (the SD manager) reads it. *laugh*

We know nobody read ours - a guy put down one word answers and nobody said a thing. So it comes down to your immediate boss almost, which is a real pain for us currently.

I've got a new appreciation for Reddit. Some folks are breaking down the recent Arrow episode and it's friggin' hilarious, real 'why didn't I catch that?' moments.

Heading for Paris this afternoon for 2 days for work. Trying to make sure I haven't packed anything anywhere that could make anyone nervous.

Missus wants to go see SW7. I've never seen 1-3, and only watch bits of 4-6 (enough to get an idea of who's who and what's going on). I see all six films are on Sky Movies (via now tv). Do I watch all six and then go see the seventh? Or should I tell her to go with her brother?

...or just go and watch it with her?

Would I completely understand it?

I never watched the original Hunger Games and have seen the second and third films. They both left me a little confused and I still feel like I'm missing a bit part of the jigsaw because I'd never seen the first film.

Bearing in mind it's a new story, that's not based on the books. Probably.

Would your other half appreciate you going to the cinema with her rather than telling her to go with her brother? Definitely

Is going to watch episode 7 a good excuse to watch the other 6 films (or 5 if you do machete order)? Of course

Why would you watch the 2nd and 3rd without seeing the first one?

Nuts
