Ridley explains where Prometheus' survivors are off to (slight, though probably expected spoilers)

There used to be a night club in Watford called Paradise Lost. That was pretty much a breeding ground. God knows what kind of hybrids came out of that, judging by some of the creatures in the queue. :-)

Yeah, we had one here too, but it was teenagers pretending to be of legal age.

I loved that toyline back then. It was way ahead of it's time, and those production stills for the cartoon are the same. Have to wonder how far they were gonna take the acid blood and shooting lol.

Ridley Scott's New 'Alien' Film Means No Neill Blomkamp 'Alien' Film For Now
http://sciencefiction.com/2015/10/30/ri ... lien-film/

Pity, though you can see Ridley as the obvious choice of the two. His film lets you spin off no matter what happens for one thing.

'Alien: Paradise Lost' Script Almost Done, and Why 'Prometheus' Wasn't a Full On 'Alien' Prequel — Latino-Review.com
http://www.latino-review.com/news/alien ... en-prequel

He's right.

I think a lot of people felt cheated by Prometheus - it's one of the few instances where a studio and everyone involved would have needed to say clearly where they were taking it beforehand. As is, new questions were posed while still kinda sticking to the Alien story. Then the movie just ends in those terms at least. That was always gonna piss people off. Personally I didn't mind the film at all, but they'd better have a damn satisfying payoff at some point.

The payoff is Alien (or at least it will be in a few films time).
I really didn't mind Prometheus at all. It's by no means a perfect film, then again, very few science fiction films are. I wouldn't turn the film off if I saw it was on TV, and unless I catch it by accident one night, I suspect I'll view it again before Alien : Paradise Lost comes out.
I just hop the next film is a little more cohesive and resolves some of the mysteries laid out in Prometheus.

+1, but the payoff for me will be a lot more on the Engineers, especially the opening scene. That's pretty much the premise and promise of the entire film.
