It depends on how cut back the ads are. On many sites the ads account for about 80% of the download volume! Not to mention how much they drain your battery etc. If you are on a limited connection (my phones are on a "flatrate", but that means a certain volume at full speed, then the connection is throttled) it can mean that you quickly work through your bandwidth limit, so this is very welcome.

I use NoScript and Better privacy, but not adblock. I understand free sites I use need advertising revenue.
I do have Firefox set to ask me what to do the first time each site asks to set cookies though. The amount of course as sites try to set is ridiculous.

The same here, although I don't have Firefox on my mobile devices. They shouldn't stop at mobile devices, they should use it for the desktop as well.
