Trying to find a nice hotel to stay in Bournemouth with the missus. Some don't have availability. I could book the Marriott but it's ~£430 for two nights. I've already got the debit card out but not sure if the missus would be upset at me for spending so much, when we could use the money to do more stuff.

There are people in your house or flat, and indeed mine, who you don't know about. They exist in other rooms. When you move around, they move too - hiding behind doors, under beds, inside cupboards. When the house is busy, they'll probably hide in the loft. If you see one, they'll make you forget.

They'll always be there, just out of sight, just but of reach, living their own lives.

And that, dear reader, was a dream I had the other night.

Have considered a job writing for Dr Who? Sounds a bit like the Silence.

After much research, I concluded none of the hotels had good enough reviews, and that the Marriott, whilst affordable, was a bit OTT. So we've booked the Premier Inn which was £300 cheaper. The extra money can be used for fuel, food, activities and we'd still have some left over.

I think squatting the empty space. It was definitely them hiding and not wanting to be seen/found.

This is a bit like The Silence, but also there was an X Files episode that covered a similar theme - two people occupying a house but never knowing about the other.

Hahaha Monsieur Zolo.

I wear glasses, and sometimes the light catches the inside of the lens and i think something or someone has moved, just on the edge of my peripheral vision. I am with you on this!

Also a Star Trek episode or two, if memory serves.

One of the cars coil packs turned up it's toes today on my way to collect a colleague and go to work.
Local garage managed to sort it out this afternoon, but it's left a hole in my budget and I'm worried I'll be beyond my overdraft limit for the third month in a row before payday.
I really need a better paying job.

Or a more reliable car.

She sailed through the MOT a handful of weeks ago, and generally speaking, just requires the usual maintenance. First time she's threatened to not get me where I needed to be.

For the first time in 9 years at this company I am the subject of office gossip. Apparently the mantra 'what goes on on tour, stays on tour' does not apply when you've snogged one of the security guys.

Security you say. I think I spotted your mistake.
