Baby giant snail didn't move for quite some time. I thought it was hibernating as it has been a bit chilly and I haven't bought a heat mat yet. After a week (and the fact it has a poorly looking shell) I figured it had died. So last night I popped it in the kitchen bin. An hour later it was playing on my mind so I dug it out, bathed it in warm water and popped it back in the tank with 8 of its friends. This morning I have 9 snails slithering around the tank

Got the paperwork etc for the company that I set up (so I could get paid for the job that was cancelled with three hours notice.) I never realised how much it would cost each year to do the accounts for a LTD company. If better hope I get that other UAE job to pay for it.

If memory serves (and this may have changed too), if no money goes through the company you can make a much simpler / cheaper filing.

Correct. The accountant will refund me about two thirds of what I'm paying her for the year if I don't actually trade.

No, one is a Denby Arabesque coffee set and one is a Japanese Hizen porcelain dinner set.

Bought a Devolo 1200 starter kit (non-wireless version). Got them working (set them up on the same double socket first, then tested using another socket downstairs).
I now have my WDTV Live streaming connected to the TV in the bedroom, whilst the router's downstairs by the cable socket. Currently watching Only Fools and Horses in the bedroom.
Downsides. The WDTV Live won't work properly using the HDMI cable. Tried two cables. Either the box is on the fritz, or the cable input is buggered. Connected via component. Secondly, 720p on 20" LCD TV is rubbish when you've watched 1080p on the downstairs 32" TV LED TV.

Man who camped on A9 for three years is evictedBratty, did you know him or did you ever meet him? It seems like the sort of eccentric fellow you'd get along with. And it's not even a "foriegn English" story, right up your street I would've thought. Mark
