Tim Farron: Corbyn win 'potentially changes everything' for Lib Dems | Politics | The Guardian
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... r-lib-dems

Quote:
The MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale argued that Corbyn’s victory would open “a massive space in the centre ground of British politics for sensible, moderate, progressives who are opposed to what the Conservatives are doing, but cannot bring themselves to support a party of the hard left”.

Except Labour aren't hard left, and now you couldn't find the centre of a dart board. Which is good, because apparently you're not a centrist. Seemingly you're willing to go in any direction that might get you elected alongside another party - the very thing that slaughtered you last time once the curtain dropped.

here's the thing - what he's promising is exactly what the lib dems promised before the coalition and then they did absolutely feck all useful in terms of the 'opposing' and even facilitated the tory agenda on a few occasions. I doubt there's anyone with half a brain cell that's going to fall for that line twice.

The Corbyn-Ashi Maru - a test of character for Labour supporters; a no-win scenario.

Vince Cable calls for Labour and Lib Dem centre-left MPs to unite | Politics | The Guardian

Corbyn has already made politics vastly more interesting. Not difficult, but it's been a while!

Probably not as much as your Daily Mail-esque headline shocked me! ;)

Ah, Google was kinda right the first time, but I knew it as 'Kobayashi Maru' from the Trek reboot (haven't seen the others :P )

Tories will 'slaughter' Labour under Corbyn at election, says Vince Cable | Politics | The Guardian
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... byn-labour

We'll see, but maybe you should focus on your own party because it's in a similar position IMO. Also, at least Corbyn had the balls to not only stand up for himself, but the more left-wing within the party, which is more than can be said for you and yours even in government.

That would be Vince 'pretty much helped destroy his own party and lost his seat at the last election' Cable? With a political record like that, I'm sure people will take the appropriate account of what he's saying.

I understand the LibDems are having their conference this week. I had no idea.
