Not any use here, our router is a VOIP router and has a DECT base station built in. Switching would mean losing all telephony. I'll be sticking with my Fritz!Box.
The other advantage, unlike TP-Link, is that the one vulnerability found in the Fritz!Box OS in the last couple of years was patched within 24 hours. Many TP-Link devices never get updates.

Then don't buy the 16GB version? The phones my family uses all have 8GB, but each has a 32GB micro-SD card installed.

It's all down to herd people over IMO.
16GB cheap but not much storage
64GB more storage but more expensive
128GB more storage and even more expensive
People will either buy the 16GB or opt for the 64GB. If there were a 32GB version, I suspect more people would buy it but there'd be fewer sales for 64GB one.
