This is the problem with comic book films - villains who don't cost a fortune or have names like Mole Man

That's only when they have engineering works. Delays just mean delays.

RUMOR: Will George Miller Direct A DCEU Film For Warners? — Heroic Hollywood | Comic Movies | Superhero | Movie News | Movie Reviews | Entertainment | DC | Marvel

Do it! Christ, the script was awful for his Justice League, but Mad Max was genius bar some typical Mad Max weirdness at the start. And it can't be any worse than MoS or BvS looks at the moment.

With all the talk about every upcoming DC superhero film for the next decade, Henry Cavill must be feeling a little relieved that Man of Steel 2 is at least being talked about in the press, if not by Warners.

+1, though it might be an idea to have Supes say more n'all instead of just brooding... Makes you wonder how they'll handle Batman

Still can't believe they're remaking Big Trouble  , you can't touch that level of batsh1t brilliance.

Explosive Lawsuit Accuses Disney, DreamWorks And More Of Shady Business - CINEMABLEND

Wouldn't surprise me - everybody from building firms and CPU makers, to TV manufacturers have been caught operating some form of cartel over the decades. Why not with a limited pool like animators in dodgy Hollywood?

Been saying that for months - the world building has gotten worse with every film. I'd guess they were extremely lucky to have Whedon for AoU, cos anyone else would have produced an FF-style turd. They'd already gone down this path with Favreau and its probably why Thor is so patchy too. It's only a matter of time before they'll be hiring hacks because nobody else will touch them.

Alien Nation was really good, and unlike the Robo-Cop TV series follow-up, the Alien Nation one was also really good.

Loved Big Trouble in Little China. It'll be interesting to see where they go with the remake.

The black Hole, loved that film as a kid.

The only reason I can see Bloodsport being remade, is to include more blood. *shrug*

Blue Thunder will always live in the shadow of Airwolf, dispite Airwolf coming a year later than Blue Thunder.

Cliffhanger, by the guy that remade Total Recall and 21 Jump Street.
Enough said.

Please don't turn The Craft into Yet Another Teen Comedy.
American Horror Story : Coven, despite being a patchy season of the show, showed you can still do crazy teen witches properly.

Creature from the Black Lagoon could be really scary.

Cube was a brilliant concept, really well executed (no pun intended).
Can't really see how they can better that film.

Flash Gordon, I think I've written about this one already. Still not convinced.

Why is everyone so down on Green Lantern?
What did everyone expect it was going to be then ultimately wasn't?
I don't get the hate for this film.

CGI Gremlins. You heard it here.

Headhunters is a most excellent film. I really really enjoyed that.

A 2016 release date for the Highlander reboot? Really?!?

I have hopes, not high hopes, but hopes all the same, for Old Man Conan <-- they should so call it that.

Logan's Run, Jenny Agutter *sigh*

Nosferatu, possibly the oldest film on the list!

Rose McGowan would've been absolutely perfect for Red Sonja!
Damnit, get her back!

Earlier in the list I think I saw The Magnificent Seven was getting remade, now I see Seven Samurai is getting remade. Remakes of remakes.

Spiderman! OMG I had NO IDEA there was a remake of Spiderman being done!!!

It'll be tough to get past the sheer mass of mythology that the original Stargate kicked off with the film and then subsequent TV shows.

Starship Troopers, it couldn't be any worse, really.

Suspira, like The Craft, could be an excellent remake as long as it's not Yet Another Teen Comedy.

The Time-Cop remake will have 'the sci-fi in the background'. *sigh*

Just some of my thoughts on some of the 93 films on the list.

Mark

Flash Gordon they might as well, it should be tonally different while keeping the characters, but it'll be a fine line.

Green Lantern was shot in the dark to compensate for... Just about everything. It had a comedy sidekick, a crap 'villain' and somehow there was something vaguely ridiculous about Reynolds in the suit, dunno why. I've tried watching it a few times, nothing feels like it clicks.

Gremlins has a charm very of it's time, they'll probably struggle.

Headhunters I liked, I think it just got a bit mad in places (sort of thing that works better in a book). Hollywood should probably leave it alone.

I so want Highlander remade because they disgraced it anyway. You'd think it would have had more buzz for that release date. Could be very low budget.

Conan I'm happy to see rebooted since I don't think much of the originals. Same with Sonja, Stargate, Troopers, and Timecop.

Spidey only needs rebooted cos Sony got greedy. The first reboot was better than any Raimi made!
