I'm having to get up half hour earlier than usual as the tube line I use is closed for a few weeks. Why does it feel like I'm getting up 2 hours earlier?

Just found out that a friend of mine has had a heart attack, so best wishes and positive thoughts to Maryanne, please.

New glasses. Had an over due eye test yesterday. Apparently, my previous test shoes astigmatism in both eyes, not just the one. So that's new to me. Previous ophthalmist didn't tell me. Mind you, we both found that one rather brusque.
So new glasses being prepped. I'm trying varifocals as they work out cheaper than two new pairs. The good new is if I don't get on with them, I can swap for regular glasses.

I've had varifocals for about 5 years, generally good, but don't really work if you are reading a book whilst laying on your stomach or watching TV while leaning back in a recliner... Otherwise they work pretty well.

With current glasses, I had that Hitchcock style effect as the ground seemed to fall away from me. I'm anticipating an adjustment phase, and I was told that they do take getting used to.

Every girl I've ever interacted with for any significant amount of time, has ended up falling in love with me. Am I leading girls on if I flirt back? Should I be more of an arsehole? I'm at a point in my life where's it's not just throwaway rejections, it's proper relationship-defining responses I'm having to come up with (with close friends)

Repairing the cracked screen on my mobile is going to cost almost as much as the phone itself.

By my own calculations, I will have paid off my student loan by March 2016. Almost ten years after I first started working. I was under the impression that once paid off, the extra income would be taxed. But according to http://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk it isn't. Can anyone enlighten me as to why it isn't?
