Ever watched The Shield? Goggins is great in it.

I've seen a couple of episodes. Loved him in Justified. There's something about that southern accent ;)

I loved the first season of that show before they decided in season 2 that the dialogue should be more 'Would thou...'

And I believe very few people were happy with season 3, though I obviously never got that far to find out why.

Hmmm.
I really want to see Wesley Snipes back as the Blade character.
Damnit, we don't need Blade rebooting, just make another sodding film.

+1, but I spose the issue is tying him into the enormous cinema universe now. Especially at his age in their terms. He might fit Netflix better as Blade now, though he has an upcoming TV show elsewhere as it is.

Say whaaaaat?!?
He's only 53 (according to Wikipedia), that's no reason to not have him as the character he brought to life on the big screen.
He's very much in the same age range of Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jnr., heck Sam Jackson is 66 for crying out loud.

Like I said, their terms. Downey and Jackson are the only ones seeing any real money from the films, apparently. That's got as much to do with the comics characters as the actors, long story short. It's also because Marvel are said to be stupidly cheap when it comes to the staff. They'd likely prefer younger, cheaper actors considering how long it takes to make and 'gel' the cinematic universe.

And those guys are all ostensibly retiring. Jackson may or may not be in discussions. Avengers 3 isn't due until 2018, and so on. The amount of spinning plates is ridiculous.

The Predator 'inventive sequel' is still apparently happening.

What are your thoughts on that? Frankly I'll give anything Predator a go.

I am fully behind inventive sequels, and I'm much happier this is the way that the studio wants to go with it than doing a reboot of the series.
I like the Predator films - though I wasn't aware of the four sequels, the last one I think I saw was AvP 2.

It's the little touches with the Predators that make them, from the look of the younger ones in AvP for instance, or how they express themselves with gestures.

Youtube 'Batman Dead End' if you haven't already seen it :)

Which is what makes this sequel all the more better, because a reboot would inevitably mean a redesign of the creature, which is a problem not only for the Predator line, but also the rest of the shared universe that is now inhabits.
All that extra detail, and conflict and development of the species would - unless somehow placed in the context of the reboot - would simply not exist in the history of the species any longer.

This is also a bit of an issue for the Marvel films too, unless character changes are provided to the audience in an organic manner, they will never be able to reboot the likes of Iron Man or Wolverine in cinematic terms.

+1. Also, like the Star Wars novels, some of the ideas other writers have employed are absolute genius and should be used in films. But they only work because of the previous history.
