My current employers have just merged with another company and there may be redundancies here, as well.

Really couldn't care less. If this job ends I'll have to find another. It's happened before and it may well happen again.

No point worrying about sh1t you can't do anything about.

The notion that I may be asked at some point by my guitar teacher to sit in in a session with one of his bands. My wife very gleefully suggested this last week, and I’m terrified he’d decide it may be a good idea it. I really don’t think I’m that good, TBH.

Why do I enjoy a good downpour? Somehow it relaxes me! I especially love the sound of it hitting the window :?

Does this happen to anyone else? Christ, I've gone full Bratty

A good solid downpour on a window or roof can be a very soothing sound. No, it's not just you.

I love the sound of a good solid rainshower when everything is quiet, so when I'm lying in bed with the window open,m or when I'm camping, it's not as relaxing as a thunderstorm, but I still feel an enormous sense of peace.

On my mind currently is dyeing my hair purple, learning how to ride a motorbike and having a huge Indian meal tomorrow night with my Mister and parents to celebrate my 40th on Saturday 8-)

I need to stop watching the clock because I know I'm finishing early and have a 4 day weekend; today already feels longer than yesterday did. :|

Totally with you on that, especially when it brings that incredible sense of refreshing after seriously muggy weather. It wasn't a thunderstorm, but we had some lovely rain here yesterday. Today it's just drizzle though :(

Rain yes, wind no. I can't stand wind noise. In '87 during the "big storm", the garden fence came through the glass panel of the front door and just missed my mother. After that I was always very nervous when we had a heavy wind and couldn't sleep - I still wear ear plugs at night, when it is very windy. It is funny, I love a good storm on the coast, when I am outside, but being in a house when it is windy is not fun.
