I'd heard of the London Tax, but that's ridiculous. Unless you're feeding about 450 people.

Why is it riduculous? 12% is pretty reasonable and the staff earnt it. I would be disgusted if was anything less.

A lot of places add service charges as standard in London.

I've certainly seen places (outside London as well) adding service charge for large groups (say 10+).
I hope to hell that bill was for more than 10 people :D :lol:
