You find such people everywhere. I work for an IT company and getting a simple, straightforward answer out of technical people can be equally frustrating.

Although I am getting sick of the truck drivers around here that seem to be able to look at a navi system in their cab, but can't read the road signs in front of their vehicles! The main road at the top of the hill where I live has a ban on 7.5T and above lorries, but a lot of drivers here seem to be using car navi systems and ignoring the big signs saying no lorries and telling them which route to take...

Yes, I've been saying this for over a year. Whenever I search for information on a product or look for help getting it working, I get pages of shopping sites and price comparison sites! Why? If I am looking for help getting something working, then the following are probably true: 1) I've already bought the blasted thing, 2) it isn't working as it should and 3) I'm probably pissed off with the bloody thing and am not in the mood to buy another example of it!

Unfortunately, I think the answer is yes. From what I've read, it seems like a lot of people were just looking for an excuse to loot, pillage and plunder. OK, maybe not quite that, but yeah, they would have kicked off, big time, whether the police had confronted them or not.

Reminds me of the riots we had a few years ago. A guy gets shot in London and within days riots are taking place in Manchester, with people openly stating that the shooting was just an excuse to get a free telly.
