It wasn't even holding the tabs with a clean installation, FF is getting more useless by the update. It hogs memory like mad and then even simple pages become a chore.

Using 285MB here after about a week of non-stop use.

We got back from holiday yesterday, and were greeted by the usual bucket load of mail, including polling cards for the election.

My wife's card is fine but mine has my son's name on it. Again. That's twice. How [LIFTED] hard is it to get right? He's only 14 FFS!

That's nothing... at one stage there were five of us who were eligible to vote, and when we received the cards they were all misspelt. Not just misspelt, though. All of the spellings were different.

It's only five letters! V E L L A

How difficult can it be!

Bloody scanner software. To be specific: Epson’s.

The problem is this - when I scan negatives, you have to be so precise with the framing of each exposure that if you don‘t, it can make the final scan seem over or under exposed depending on how far out of the frame you venture. What happens is that the black of the negative, or the white from the light, informs any image correction. I’ve not got nay image correction on in the software, but clearly there is some kind of inner workings that does something to ensure you get an image that’s recognisable.

With stereo photography, this is more of an issue because each image pair should be identically exposed, or as close to as possible. So when you get one frame that’s way too dark, or one that seems more purple than the other, I have had to scratch my head to work out what could be going on.

Turns out that in negative scanning mode you have to be as accurate as possible with your selection marquee, and as the camera I have has no real spacing between exposures, you need that accuracy. Guess what? No zoom when scanning negatives (none as far as I can see, anyway), so you can’t go right in and make a proper selection. You have to eyeball it at the default zoom and take it from there. Thankfully, there’s a preview to show you if the scan will be halfway decently exposed, but it’s a real faff.

Looks like I may have to rescan another film to improve the results from that too.

Those classified and auction sites that default to gallery view, and yet you make a listing.

I've got an Epson SX215 and have not had any problems with the driver for that, on every version of Windows from XP to 8.1

I can't remember if I have installed it on 10 yet, but I'll have to try it later, just to see.

I asked my boss for a chat as I don't understand what his plan is for me now and in the near future and I struggled to feel like part of the team. He said that I scare the grads and am generally unapproachable and uncooperative. He also said that I had no chance of being promoted anytime soon because I'm too immature.

Apart from that he's been relying on me to provide training to the grads for the last 2 years and run a million pounds worth of work.
I reckon he thinks I will stay for the love of the art without complaining. He can [LIFTED] off.
