Screen cracked on my Kindle Fire

Found one company who listed prices for repair £120

New Kindle Fire £149

Sat on mine and ditto. Replacement as a crimbo prezzie, thank you GF
Might make a display cabinet for all the broken electronics goods or just bin em?

Well apparently the screen can be changed really easily but I haven't watched the TubeYou videos yet.

Mine was a gift from work. The only reason I use it is due to the crap battery on the iPhone as I read a lot on the train.

Given a conversation I have been having with a school friend recently about the notion of us travelling back in time to warn our 1980s selves about the s!itstorm of muck and bullets that came both our ways and when the best time to duck would be, I kind of started trying to work out the best places in Watford to hit 88 mph given various changes to the roads etc. over the decades. You have to allow for acceleration, the time vortex, and braking, prefreably in a straight line. I have a few candidates. Now to source a flux capacitor. :D

It also struck me that the reason for so many traffic calming measures is to prevent time travellers from doing just what we plan on doing - thus stopping the obvious paradoxes from happening in the first place.

Middle cat-son :( Mac has developed a limp this afternoon, I can't really see if there's a problem because of the fur, the lack of light and the excess wriggle-factor but I suspect a trip to the vet will be required. I am starting to think I need to keep a supply of metacam in the house for kitty and chicken painkiller properties! I'm going to keep him inside tonight and have nipped him so he'll sleep and rest it, but it looks like there will need to be vet appt made as soon as poss.

Every Ultrabook I look at is missing one feature that would make it perfect - if you get battery life, you lose in the weight department. If you get weight AND battery life, you find that it's running last year's CPU. And so on. The money's burning a hole in my pocket here!

Someone I know (much younger than me) is getting all worked up and wishing she could see the band 'Extreme' live.
I was there when they were current, they were awful, why for the love of god is the present youth thinking they're good?

I like Tesla because they are innovative, but what they are not is environmentally friendly.

I think it's a symptom of the human condition, and why we are doomed to use up and kill this planet, that we praise industrial production on a massive scale as being a part of the solution. I mean Tesla are currently building one of the largest manufacturing plants in the world and are about to destroy the Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia to strip mine it of its lithium for all the batteries.
