Wow, WFT have Tapatalk done to their iOS app?

The last update over Christmas has rendered it pretty much unusable. Terrible UI and UX decisions, how can this even have got through beta testing. Pretty much universally disliked by everyone on their support forums and bad reviews on the App Store have dropped it to a 1 star rating. Still they refuse to listen to their users and reverse the UI back to what it was. What a shame, this used to be an easy way to view forums on an iPad/iPhone, now it's easier to use Safari than this half-@rsed effort of an app.

Deleted. Hopefully I can restore an earlier version from a backup.

+1. It's actually more confusing than it used to be, which is saying something.

With each update, they've been making it harder to use and taking it further away from its core proposition, that is to make forums easier to navigate on mobile devices. This last update, though, is something else. Negative feedback has forced them to issue this statement...
https://support.tapatalk.com/threads/up ... ack.27809/
..but any fix is not due until "late February or early March" according to an admin on the forums.

They've even removed the "Unread" option - the singularly most useful function (to me, at least!). Apparently, according to an admin on their support furom, that was a mistake that shouldn't have been removed. It all smacks of amateurism and rushing an update out of the door without really thinking about the people that use it. Not any more, back to Safari for me.

The Windows Phone version has been broken for over a month now.

I've just about got the hang of the Tapatalk update now so I can browse my forums and switch between unread and participated threads. It took long enough though and I still prefer the older version(s).

Indeed - my review on the WP Store isn't exactly complimentary.

Meh. It's probably the most sci-fi-est show I watch. If I was that bothered, I'd have download the whole series. Or maybe bought the box set.

Data dictionary? You lucky git. I've written data dictionaries for 3 projects in the last 2 years, so far all 3 projects have thrown the data dictionary out with the bath water and cobbled together a nightmare...

We only use it at a handful of sites.

Most of them are using dbf tables

Some genius at Spotify has made the adverts international as of this evening, making them even more annoying than before. Though nothing's topping that ad suggesting you make a trance playlist for your dinner party. I kid you not.

My sister seems to have waited until one of the coldest nights of the year to stink the entire house out with £1 garlic bread once again. The only silver lining is that the cold air kills the stench quite quickly. Mother dearest was nearly sick before because the smell had clung to a plastic milk container... Wee girl needs a fcuking good slap.
